?There?s a rush that comes over you when you strum a guitar for the first time and it just feels right,? explained Tom Bedell, one of the old hippies behind Bedell Guitars, a division of Two Old Hippies. ?We?re so sure our premium guitars will feel ?right,? we?ve added a twist to get people to want to pick one up and give it a try.? That?s how the Bedell Test Drive Program was born.
The exclusive Bedell Test Drive Program is designed to drive consumer traffic to its dealers and is running April through June. During this time, customers will be urged to visit a dealer to test drive a Bedell guitar. Upon completion of the test drive, customers will complete a brief survey to receive a free Bedell Guitar Care Kit containing D?Addario Phosphor bronze acoustic strings, polish, cloth, string winder and picks (valued at $25.99). They will also be entered in a drawing to win a chance to build their dream guitar through the Bedell Custom Shop.
The Test Drive Program is being promoted through trade and consumer advertising and in-store displays. ?This is a great opportunity to drive new customers to our dealers,? explained Bedell. ?As a new guitar brand, we?re out to earn our way into the hearts of both consumers and dealers. This is a good way to show our commitment to building our brand of premium guitars one guitar enthusiast at a time. And it allows for the kind of instant feedback we need to keep reaching for the stars.?

We were thrilled and honored when we received a call from Joe Lamont, president of NAMM, asking Tom to be on the panel for “Breakfast of Champions.” Along with Tom, some of the guests on the panel were Yoko Ono, Quincy Jones and Chris Martin (Martin Guitars). We viewed this as a great opportunity for us to share our love and passion of music with the entire industry. Joe Lamont did an excellent job of giving Tom a platform to share the wonderful story of how Two Old Hippies was started. We invite you to take the time to watch the interview and hear the story of Two Old Hippies.
